Hear Victorian Horror Stories at the Molly Brown House
With Halloween coming up very soon, October is the ultimate month to celebrate all things spooky and spine-chilling. For those who are brave enough, an eerie, hair-raising experience awaits you at the Molly Brown House.
For the 25th year in a row, the Molly Brown House—a museum dedicated to the famous unsinkable passenger on the Titanic—will be hosting its annual Victorian Horrors. The tours will take place on several nights starting now through October 27th. The tours are perfect for literary bookworms as well as anyone who would like to experience a bit of shock and suspense before Halloween.
About the Tours
Visitors will move through darkened rooms while hearing stories from acclaimed horror writers of the past such as Edgar Allen Poe and Mary Shelley. These tales will also be acted out by local actors. They’ll create an immersive atmosphere that will leave you feeling as if you’ve been transported to another world.
Since it’s also the 25th anniversary for the event, there are a few perks to attending this year. Normally, only five stories are featured. However, the museum has decided to upgrade it to six in honor of this special occasion. Additionally, a local oddities dealer is working with the event to create some very creepy props for the theatrical performances. So, count on another level of fright to this already-spooky experience!
